Keller Williams Red Day May 9th 2013

In light of the tragic events that occurred in Boston yesterday, I really wanted to share some positive news. The good outweighs the bad in this world, it really does.

Every year, Keller Williams runs RED Day, Renew, energize, donate. On this day, Keller Williams agents nationwide will participate in their community to make a difference. I am so excited to be apart of RED day this year, especially because the cause we are working for is a fantastic one.

Community Connections, based in Yarmouth, Cape Cod, is an organization that empowers, creates opportunities and provides assistance for people with disabilities.

This year our goal is to help Community Connections create a sustainable garden. We are going to spend the day digging, planting and planning crops with some of the clients & employees at Community Connections. Among the crops that we are planting there will be, tomatoes, oregano, pumpkin, squash, swish chard, thyme, parsley, beans, lettuce, basil and a ton of flowers. If we are able to help Community Connections create a successful garden area, they will receive more funding from the town which would be more than helpful to their needs.

It is all of the agents at Keller Williams desire to help create a space for the clients at Community Connections to be peaceful and fulfilling. To help them create the ability to see what their hard work, love and care can produce. I don't know anything that is more fulfilling than being able to watch something you have planted grow and flourish and I hope that this will be something that everyone at Community Connections enjoys and benefits from.

The agents at our office, among ourselves will be donating most of the materials needed to get the garden started and going strong. We are however reaching out for donations to our friends and families for donations of gift cards to Home Depot, Lowes, Christmas Tree Shop, Job Lot or any store locally that could provide materials for the garden.

If you would like to make a contribution or help in anyway, please give me a call or email me, Cell#508 566 6560, nickymooney@kw.com

I am so excited and happy to be a part of a company that reaches out and gives back to the community in which it serves.

First, Last & Security = More Than a Downpayment

I don't know many people who are not at least a little bit terrified when buying their first home, it's such a huge commitment, what if you don't want to stay there?  What if you pay too much?  What if.. What if..
All I know is I would prefer to be paying my own mortgage over someone else's mortgage.  At the moment, interest rates are still historically low, so what does that mean exactly? Take for example a $200,000.00 loan, the payment would be roughly $860 p/m (taxes and insurance not included) at 3.4%  Incredible, with taxes and insurance will get you to roughly $1200 p/m.  This means that BUYING your own property would be cheaper than renting.  I know this because I know the rental market on Cape Cod and I know what you get for that amount of money and it usually is not very much.

You already have the means for a deposit for a house.  A USDA loan is ZERO down, the only thing that costs you some money is when you find a property that you like and you want to place an offer.  Usually you can place an offer with $500.00 and then if your offer is accepted we would need to place a little more down to show that you are definitely going to proceed.  This is then subtracted from the amount that you offered to buy the house for.  I am confident that with me as your Realtor I could get you into a house for the same or less than your first, last & security deposit.  It costs nothing to find out, give me a call or contact me here.  Nicky Mooney, Keller Williams Realty, Cell #508 566 6560.

Selling your home with a Realtor.

Thinking about trying to sell your home yourself, don't bother wasting your time.  There are many homeowners that have tried to sell their homes without assistance from a Realtor.  Did you know that you are hurting the potential sale price of your house tremendously?  It is proven that a Realtor will negotiate more money for the sale of your home than you every could, therefore, paying for themselves and then some.  A buyer that approaches a homeowner that is selling a home by themselves is looking for one thing only and that is a Bargain.  You will receive nothing but low ball offers and eventually when all the offers that come in are so low, you will take whatever offer that first comes in that is a little more palatable.  Do not fall victim to Bargain hunters.

Use a full time, licensed professional who is sure to get the job done in a much shorter period of time and for more money.  Call Nicky Mooney, Keller Williams Realty, Cell # 508 566 6560 for a FREE report on the current value of your home.  I will even be able to give you a fair estimate on how long it should take to sell.
